If you’re going to use D&D Beyond for character creation, you are invited to also join my “One Shots and Sundry” campaign so that you have access to the rulebooks I have when creating your character. The link will be included after you register for a game.
Unless otherwise specified for the adventure, characters will typically be:
- 4th Level
- Using the D&D 5e (2014) rules; with “Character Preferences” select only “Legacy (includes 2014 rules).
- 27 Attribute Point Buy
- No full elves, genasi, aasimar, tieflings, or other obviously “magical” races (dragonkind, etc). Half-orc, half-elf are fine. Check with me if you have a question there.
- Class/Backgrounds from the Players Handbook, Sword Coast Adventurers Guide, Xanathar’s Guide to Everything and Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything
- No evil characters.
- Equipment: Use generated basic gold for purchasing equipment, and you may have one “uncommon” item (here’s a list). Realistically, just don’t go wild with equipment, as for the most part, we will not be worrying about rations and basic item expenditure.
Please make sure I have access to your character sheet, either by joining the D&D Beyond campaign or sending it and an avatar image in Discord. I’ll be in chat and in-game about thirty minutes prior to the start time to help iron out any difficulties.
